Here is complete step and tutorial for installation and configuration Hotel Booking Software using Joomla Content Management System. Please note HBS is Component of Joomla so before use HBS you must install Joomla.
Download Joomla latest version from Joomla Website, Check how to install Joomla,

After complete Joomla installation Download Trial or License version of HBS Package. Following step help you to manage and configure Joomla HBS website for beginner to start hotel - property booking website

Step 1 - Site Admin Step by Step Guideline:

a. Install Joomla Hotel Booking Software: Check installation Guideline

b. Manage Country, State & City Component: If you want to use your booking website for all over the world or multiple world and states and cities you need published/unpublished all required countries; states under each country, cites under each state for hotel admin to add hotels in right location and search module for user to search right location.

c. Manage Room Type & Facility: You need to create required room type for your website so hotel admin can select room type during adding each single hotel / property room. You can add unlimited room type from here. Manage room type component, Now need to upload all required hotels and room facility icon and facility details for each single hotels and property to select appropriate facility for all hotels and rooms. Manage hotels & rooms facility.

d. Configure HBS feature from HBS Global Configuration: Configure HBS feature based on your needs from HBS Global configuration. You can configure here; payment method; or catalog, google map api and lots of other feature Manage HBS Configuration

e. Create super admin or hotel admin account: Create hotel admin or super hotel admin account so hotel admin can login to manage hotel information or super hotel admin can login to manage all hotels and properties in website. How to create hotel admin or super hotel admin account?

f. Other feature: There have lots of other feature you can manage from joomla website administrator area; but above has to be done for provide required feature to your hotel admin or super hotel admin area. Check all Joomla HBS Administrator feature here

Hotel Admin feature (HBS Components):

1. HBS Hotel Information: Here you can define all required hotel information.
You can add:

HBS Hotel Admin account is for manage hotel information.

What you can manage here (Everything what is need for HBS Hotel admin):  Here is basic idea

Hotel Configuration:

1. You can configure your hotel

> Define number of % guest have to pay during booking. If you add 50% and room price is 100 US; so during booking guest have to pay only 50 USD. Or if
you add 100% guest have to pay full amount during booking.

> Define number of % for website owner. Based on % level search result short hotel in website. If you type 5% (for your hotel) and your competitor type   
6%(for his / her hotel) search result will be show your competitor hotel in top of your hotel.

2. You can add quick description what is display in search result and define picture

3. You can add contact information and define hotel address in google map?

4. You can add hotel details information and add unlimited photo under photo gallery and select which photo will be display in hotel details area.

5. You can add food and beverage details information and add unlimited photo under photo gallery and select which photo will be display in food and beverage area.

6. You can add Area details information and add unlimited photo under photo gallery and select which photo will be display in Area information section.

7. You can add Travel details information and add unlimited photo under photo gallery and select which photo will be display in Travel information section.

8. You can add Important information and add unlimited photo under photo gallery and select which photo will be display in Important information section.

9. You can add Terms and Condition here and it will be display in booking form when guest want to booking or reserve your hotel.

10. You can add Room information and add unlimited photo under photo gallery and select which photo will be display in overall room information section.
(Please note we have separate section for add room type where you can add unlimited room also)

11. Photo gallery: You can upload unlimited photo for photo gallery and all other required section.

12. You can select hotel facility here. (Room facility can be select during add room type section)

Add room type:

1. You can add unlimited room
2. You can define room name / short description / long description
3. You can upload 5 images for each single room
4. You can define room facility for each single room.
5. You can edit delete each single room information.

Available & Closeout:

1. Define available and closeout for each single room
2. Define number of available room.
3. Define room available and closeout date

Rates and occupant types:

1. Add rate for each single room (You can add unlimited rate for one single room)
2. Define rate name
3. Add rate start and closeout time.

[After save this information when you click next you can add price and define occupant type]

1. Define number of adult and children for each single rate
2. Define base price
3. Define if price included ( Price included breakfast and Price included all service charges & tax)
4. Define 7 days price. Such as price for Sunday / Monday / Tuesday etc..
